The Königsallee in Düsseldorf: Promenade for an exceptional object 2019

For many fashion and art fans, this is one of the most important events of the year. Previously held alongside Vogue Fashion's Night Out , the event now stands in its own right.
In September, the luxury stores on Königsallee will present exceptional one-of-a-kind and vintage items for the fifth time as part of the "Promenade pour un Objet d'Exception" (Promenade for an Exceptional Object). Inspired by the "Promenade" on Avenue Montaigne in Paris, Königsallee will offer a high-quality supporting program and festive receptions in all participating stores. This event also celebrates the Franco-German friendship and the uniqueness of these two luxury streets.
Musicians will play French classics, and this year, rickshaws will once again transport guests on Königsallee from one shop to the next. One highlight is the "Objet d'Exception d'Art," a sculpture by the internationally renowned artist Ghada Amer, who lives and works in New York. The art installation will be exhibited in the lobby of the Steigenberger Parkhotel. Ghada Amer's work is represented in numerous museums and private collections internationally. Her works are on display at the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris and the Israel Museum in Jerusalem, among others.
