The outfit

The idea

The outfit for this special day had to be festive, modern and attractive. A mix of dress and tuxedo. Playing with the materials was also very important.

So we decided on a jumpsuit that would not restrict Ms. Eckes 's movements but would give her freedom. In this composition, the elements of the tuxedo and the jumpsuit merge into one unit.

There is a lot of attention to detail in this ensemble. A material mix of crepe and silk duchesse creates excitement and makes the ensemble particularly elegant. The lapel collar, as well as the integrated corset and the belt made of duchesse, stand out particularly well against the deep black of the crepe. The trouser legs that widen towards the bottom and the smoothly falling crepe underline the feminine silhouette.

The asymmetrical tuxedo jumpsuit impresses with its straight shape and shoulder detailing. The half tuxedo jacket with narrow sleeves accentuates the shoulder, while the left shoulder is uncovered. The hand-crafted shoulder pad in particular was tailored to this outfit to achieve a special shape.

The waist is accentuated with the help of the wide double-breasted belt, which is decorated with hand-covered duchess buttons. We also used materials on the inside of the corset that provide support but are still very comfortable to wear. In this way we achieved a symbiosis of chic and comfortable.

The fittings

During the first fitting, the model developed piece by piece. In the first step, we put together different concepts and fabrics. From numerous designs, we agreed on a mix of jumpsuit and tuxedo. We also mixed different colors and structures, held up the fabrics and, after the fitting, decided on black crepe and black silk duchesse.

We prepared the model for the second fitting and decided on the details during the fitting. We also attached importance to the comfort of the outfit, so we added a stretch side panel to the corset that did not restrict Ms. Eckes's movements.

The third fitting was used to fine-tune the dress: the length with the shoes , as well as deciding which jewelry would suit the model, the neckline shape and the width of the belt.
