Founded by entrepreneur Helga Grünwoldt-Okan, Philippo Okan, now the second generation, alongside his mother, manages the balance between fine tailoring and luxurious ready-to-wear fashion. The owner-managed family business is one of the few in Germany dedicated to artisanal excellence. Starting with exclusive couture pieces, a high-quality ready-to-wear collection has complemented the offering for six years now.

Although his fashion career was practically in his blood, Philippo Okan initially took a different path. After studying at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, he worked for a global logistics company for a long time. Then, in his early 30s, he returned to his roots in Düsseldorf and joined the family business PIO O'KAN, founded by his mother, as managing director. Even though his path has often been rocky, he hasn't regretted his decision for a single day. "Regardless of the industry, it was my desire from an early age to be able to work as a designer and entrepreneur. I want to develop something myself and have the opportunity to exert influence." He also says of his debut in fashion: "It was exactly the right decision for me to further develop our product range alongside couture and make it accessible to new customer groups."

Today, he is primarily responsible for expanding the brand and can now boast a number of high-quality retail stores in Germany and Europe that carry PIO O'KAN in their product range. His best advisor was and remains his mother, Helga Grünwoldt-Okan, thanks to her years of experience as an entrepreneur. Together with designer Hawe Klein and studio manager Mirjam Zwick, the quartet sets new standards with the personal shopping experience in their Düsseldorf salon on the famous Königsallee. Philippo Okan and his team are ensuring the success of the textile future. When he's not busy checking on things in the salon, the passionate golfer can also be found on the green or skiing.
